Pier in Huntington Beach

So my Friend Melissa, who is also a photographer met me at the Huntington Beach Pier to do some portraits of her daughter and my son.
We decided we wanted to dress our children up in some old fashioned clothes that I have. This was the very first time our children have met so they were so shy!

It was so precious to see these two kids together because they both have a ton of experience with being in front of the camera since his and her mom’s are photographers! So they knew they had to smile nicely but my son had a hard time getting close to her.
he was shy……..

Then I asked him to give her the flowers and this is what I got

Then right back to the spot he was in!!! So precious!!

They were trying to be serious here. =)

It has been a dream of mine to capture photos like this. I have been collecting outfits and props for years for antique portraits. I always loved the portraits I saw with kids like this in black and white with some color tinting. It makes me so happy to see these and know that I am finally getting these type of portraits!

I give thanks to my friend Melissa for helping with this shoot. Our children did pretty good for that being the first time they met each other! Haylee is a great model too, she has a great personality and she definetly reflects her mother’s sweet soul! I look foward to many more chances to capture some great photos of our children in the future!
