I have been wanting to blog for quite some time now. I feel that posting blogs when I can will help people get an idea of who I am as a photographer. I hope that I will have the time to keep up with these and to blog and explain at my very best. I haven’t been in school. except helping my son’s 1st grade class, for over 5 years. I recieived my AA degree back in 2001 and haven’t returned! That being said, I have to remember how to spell and type corectly. Alright, here goes.
So here are some things about myself that I would like to share so that you can get to know me a little more. I have been a photographer for 9 years. How time flies! I started photography in 1999. I have always had a camera in my purse and had enjoyed taking photos as a child. I assisted a well known photographer named Sidney Zeledon. He is a remarkable talented man. I was lucky to get to assist him during weddings because I got to learn some of his technics. I went on the do my very first wedding in 2002. It was in film. I rememeber how embaressing the sound of the film rewinding during the wedding ceremony would be. I am so thankful for digital now, it really does make shooting weddings and events a lot easier.
I have worked at a portrait studio for 8 years. I am gratfeul for the studio I worked for, it taught me a lot. I have worked with a countless amount of newborns, children and families. Working at a studio teaches you to be very patient yet be pretty fast to not miss a shot. I loved working at that portrait studio, I only stoped because I really needed to focus more on my own studio. I have collected so many props and outfits and I’m so thrilled with every client I get because I put so much heart into every shoot I do! I feel like every appointment I make is orginal and deserves the very best I can do!
Weddings are one of my favorites. They can be pretty overwhelming at times, but I am always up for the challenge! Every bride and groom is different and has his/her own special things that I try to capture in each photo I take. I am delighted each time I am hired to photograph a wedding because it really shows a lot of trust in someone to hire you to preserve such a wonderful day.
Family shoots are so important and unique. It is amazing to get to see the bonding of family through my camera. Also babies and children and just so full of life and there are endless pictures that can be taken! Animals like dogs and cats, can be pretty fascinating to photograph as well.
Well, hopefully that sums up pretty much who I am as a photographer. I could go on and on but I am sure you have heard enough by now. Now on with my 1st “real” blog.
